Managed the development and marketing of Internet services such as email news alerts, one of the first online employment sites, and news archives. Mercury Center was named best website from a newspaper with a circulation under 300,000 by the Newspaper Association of America and Editor & Publisher and the best business service on the Web by Interactive Age.

News.com was the first online-only news service in the world in 1996. It launched with a lot of HTML that I wrote.
Coastsider is a site I created to cover my community in coastal San Mateo County. It was one of the first hyperlocal news sites in the world in 2004. I built Coastsider by hand, using Expression Engine, PHP, and BBEdit.
