I live in Montara, a tiny town south of San Francisco on the Pacific coast, with my wife Cheri and children Victoria, Alex, and Julia
When I'm not working, you can find me gardening, cycling, or just messing around with the Net. I'm well-known in certain circles for my cheesecake.
In college, I was the editor of the Stanford Chaparral, the campus humor magazine.
I was a military brat, so I grew up all over the world. I was born on Long Island and still consider East Hampton, NY to be my home town. I went to elementary school in Savannah, Georgia; junior high was in Okinawa and the Philippines; and high school in Phoenix.
On July 3, 2001, I had the opportunity to win some of Ben Stein's Money.
I've used a Mac since 1985 and this site was built on my PowerMac 7300/180. I'm currently using a PowerBook G4

The site uses the Georgia Blue stylesheet for Moveable Type. I'm not using MT right now, since the pages are static, but I use it for MediaSavvy and plan to move Parr.org to MT eventually.
The site was created on a Mac using BBEdit. For a while I was using Adobe GoLive, but it's more confusing than editing raw HTML. Especially if you use stylesheets for formatting. I stage and test the site using the Apache server in OS X. This site is hosted on Dreamhost and my registrar is EasyDNS.I don't use an email link (or even an at-sign) on my email addresses, because I don't want spam from spiders.
